The XC teams were in action this last weekend and ran extremely well. The boys were Champions out of 9 teams raising their season record to 50-13! Miles Bland and Tyler Tait continued to work together delivering a nice one two punch, finishing 10th and 11th in the race featuring 109 runners! Drew Stammen (Medalist), Luuk Fokkink (Medalist) and Jonah Rhodes completed the scoring for the boys. We had awesome displacers in Daemon Jimenez and Alex Waggoner. We also saw PRs from Jacob Thomas, Bryson Murdock, Graham Florkey, Olver Wells, Trent Barr, Evan Allen, Skylar Logan, and Oliver Mayrer. The girls managed a runner up finish out of seven full teams raising their record to 29-20! The girls were led by Cayleigh Tipton in 8th place, followed by Savannah Williams (Medalist), Kyra Hope, Peyton Osswald, and Chloe Thomas who showed up big as our 5th girl in a personal best time! Hailee Helton also ran a personal best time on the day. It was a solid team effort as we had several kids score who have not done so on the season. The girls are coming together nicely! The teams will be in action for a new event to be held behind the school tomorrow (22nd). This will be the first night meet ever held on Brookville school grounds and finishes on the track under the lights! Come watch the Blue Devils defend the turf! The race schedule is as follows: MS Girls 7:30 PM, MS Boys 8:00 PM, HS Girls 8:30 PM, and HS Boys 9:00 PM. Come be a part of history in this new event as the Devils don their new pink jerseys!
